Menchaca Road Kitchen Renovation in Austin, TX

Project Overview

THA Construction & Remodeling completed this custom kitchen renovation on Menchaca Road in Austin, transforming an outdated builder-grade kitchen into a warm, modern space designed for everyday living. Before construction began, our team created a new kitchen layout that improved storage, workflow, and functionality while giving the homeowners a timeless design that complements their home.

The entire kitchen remodel was completed in approximately 5–6 weeks, including demolition, custom cabinetry installation, tile work, countertops, lighting, and finishing details.

Project Highlights

A Modern Kitchen Designed Around Storage

One of the biggest goals of this remodel was maximizing storage without making the kitchen feel crowded. We designed and installed sleek European-style cabinetry that extends to the ceiling, creating a clean contemporary look while providing significantly more usable cabinet space.

Tall pantry cabinets, deep drawers, and efficient cabinet organization help the homeowners keep everything within easy reach while maintaining a clutter-free kitchen.

Premium Materials and Custom Details

Natural Botanic Blue quartzite countertops bring elegance and durability to the kitchen. The subtle movement of the stone pairs beautifully with the warm wood-grain cabinetry, creating a balanced design that feels both modern and inviting.

The cooking area became a focal point of the renovation, featuring a dramatic full-height stone backsplash, a custom pot filler, and a matte black range hood that contrasts beautifully with the lighter finishes.

Large-Format Tile Flooring

Large-format porcelain tile was installed throughout the kitchen to create a spacious, seamless appearance that’s easy to maintain and well suited for busy households.

A decorative accent tile rug was incorporated into the floor design, adding personality and creating a unique centerpiece within the open kitchen.

Thoughtful Lighting Throughout the Kitchen

Integrated cabinet lighting adds both function and atmosphere. LED lighting beneath the cabinets improves visibility for food preparation while highlighting the natural beauty of the quartzite countertops and backsplash.

Combined with recessed ceiling lighting, the space feels bright, welcoming, and comfortable throughout the day.
